We built OpenPond for one simple reason: financial execution should be as easy as writing a sentence. The world is moving to 24/7 on-chain markets, but the tools to automate, trade, and deploy strategies are still locked behind intermediaries, compliance gates, and complex infrastructure. Our goal is to make those tools available to anyone by letting AI write, deploy, and run secure financial apps.
At a high level, OpenPond is an AI-driven financial execution platform. You tell it what you want. It writes the app. It deploys the app. It runs the app with a secure wallet, all in minutes.

We want to take down intermediaries and make financial automation available to anyone. Today, execution is locked behind broker-dealers, compliance gates, institutions and closed infrastructure. OpenPond flips that: you describe the strategy, the AI writes the app, and you keep control of the automation.

OpenTool: Our OpenSource Core Repository
OpenTool is our open source environment: https://github.com/openpond/opentool. Every OpenPond app is built on OpenTool. It lets you write small TypeScript tools, wire in our wallets and payments, and deploy them as hosted services. OpenPond AI is specifically designed & trained to build on OpenTool and is the core of our AI-driven financial automation platform.
Embracing the Bitter Lesson
Here at Openpond, we fully embrace the bitter lesson - all software design from here on out should not be static, one off use cases but rather designed from day 1, to be written by AI. This is why Opentool is so expressive and important, we wrote the rules to create secure and functional financial agents. Building this way allows us to claim every possible use case in financial automation and execution, 24/7 onchain. We will share details about how we train our AI model to continuously improve and adapt as we formalize opentool in early 2026.

Some examples of what is possible with OpenPond and OpenTool:
Simple Moving Average (SMA)
This bot runs a Simple Moving Average (SMA) cross strategy on Hyperliquid testnet and is built with our OpenTool runtime. It watches recent candles, compares price to the SMA, and only takes action when a cross happens. The bot checks the current position, places a marketable order to enter or exit, and records the outcome. It is a clean end-to-end loop: data, signal, execution, and logging. Automated DCA
With opentool, you can build an automated DCA flow that runs on a schedule, checks conditions, and executes buys with no manual babysitting. You can ask for a DCA schedule in chat, tweak the cadence, have it watch the greed and fear index, and have it execute buys with no manual intervention needed.
Carry Trade → Delta Neutral
For advanced strategies, opentool can be used to build a carry trade that rolls into a delta neutral position using Hyperliquid’s portfolio margin plus DeFi staking on Hyperliquid. The goal is to route capital where it earns yield, hedge exposure, and rebalance automatically as conditions change. This is all possible with OpenTool and Openpond Automation and will be released in 2026 when Profile Margin from Hyperliquid is available.
